By joining Freemasonry you will make new friends, enjoy a different social life with like-minded people, discover, or rediscover, a sense of purpose and belonging.

Make new and lasting friendships with people from all walks of life who meet as equals whatever their race, religion or position in society?

WHAT IS FREE MASONRY?

Freemasonry is a society of like-minded men who meet regularly in a fraternal and social environment, share a common desire to give charitable support to the community and attach importance to a high moral code.

Freemasons use four important guiding principles to help define their path through life: Integrity, Friendship, Respect and Charity.

It was established many centuries ago and now has more than 200,000 members in England and Wales, and millions worldwide.

THE FOUR CORE VALUES OF FREEMASONRY

INTEGRITY

Freemasons are focused on building themselves as people of integrity. Membership provides the structure to help achieve that goal.

FRIENDSHIP

Freemasonry provides the common foundation for friendships between members, many of which will last for life.

RESPECT

Freemasonry brings people together irrespective of their race, religion or any other perceived differences that can divide us as a society.

CHARITY

Kindness and charitable giving are deeply ingrained our principles and gives members the opportunity to make positive contributions to their communities and various causes.

WANT TO BE A FREEMASON…

The journey of a lifetime, becoming a Freemason is like going on a journey from joining as an Entered Apprentice, it typically takes one or two years to become a Master Mason, with each of the three stages marked by a special ceremony.
